In 1977, Ebel launched the “Sport Classic” line. These watches featured a monocoque case, bezel held by 5 screws, and an integrated Wave-bracelet. The Sport Classic became a tremendous success. In 1982 the Chronograph was added to the Ebel Sport Classic collection, that featured Ebel caliber 134, which was Zenith "El Primero" caliber 400 inside and kept the movements frequency at the legendary 36.000 vibrations per hour. As one of the famous chronograph movements of all time, Zenith developed it around 1969 and it is still in production today (slightly modified). It could be found in Rolex Daytona until 2000, Tag Heuer Calibre 36, Panerai, Daniel Roth, Ebel, Concord and many other high end brands.
