Extravagant 18kt tri-color solid gold, ultra-slim, Swiss made by Bueche Girod - famous watchmaker to the `Rich and Famous" in the late 70`s of Las Vegas and Miami, incorporating one of the most expensive, ultra thin quartz ETA 959.001 movements, used at that time by other thin watch producers like Movado, Concord, Baume & Mercier and etc. A tuxedo watch that was worn at Sinatra permormance at Sands and Caesars Palace by one of the producers of "Cotton Club" movie.
Bit of History:
Vital Bueche founded Bueche Girod brand in 1947. He combined his own last name with his wife's, Girod. The company emblem was made up from combining the two family coat of arms. Company was famous for producing extravagant, by that time, solid gold watches and watches with precious stones for brands like Universal Geneve, Bulova and etc. They always used the very finest Swiss made movements, like Piaget ultra-thin Cal.68 mechanical or ETA 959.001 quartz movements. Became very popular in US at the end of the 1970's in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Miami Beach as seen in "Miami Vice","Scarface" and other films of that era.
