As one of the Grandmaster of all Swiss watch brands, this one goes back to 1839, when two Polish immigrants, Antoni Patek and Franciszek Czapek founded "Patek, Czapek & Cie". Later, French watchmaker Adrien Philippe joined the firm and new name became "Patek Philippe & Co". This 17 jewel manual wind model from the 1940`s, has exactly this name stamped on the inside of the stainless steel caseback.
