Bit of History:
Bell and Ross in co-operation with the French Marine Institute carried out deep water immersion simulations in order to study the Hydromax’s water resistance and develop a watch capable of reaching great depth.
Movement Features:
Bell and Ross use a watch case completely filled with a special type of transparent silicone oil called Hydroil to protect the watch from big pressures.
Functions:
Date calendar, window display. Battery end-of-life indicator.
Case:
Satin finish solid AISI 316L Stainless steel. Since temperature fluctuations cause Hydroil to expand and compress, Bell and Ross developed a special patented watch case designed to compensate for this by using a rubber section in the case back that automatically adjusts.
Bezel:
Uni-Directional rotating, ratcheted, 0-60 Elapsed-Time. Minor scratches around 12.
Crown:
Factory Logo engraved/embossed. Sport style, screw-down (threaded).
Dial:
Black color. Luminous ( radiation-free Super-LumiNova ) numerals. Hydroil, that fills the case and dial space, makes the watch viewable from any angle under water.
Hands:
Patent (Mercedes) style. Super-LumiNova radiation-free luminous filled.
Band:
Satin finish. Solid AISI 316L stainless steel. Comes with factory rubber strap and factory military nylon strap in a "Pelican" box.
