This Limited Edition watch by Meistersinger reached into pre-Revolutionary American history The design of this wristwatch is based on a horological idea by one of the U.S.A.`s founding fathers, Benjamin Franklin.

Bit of History:

Franklin was on diplomatic visit to England in 1770, where he described his idea of "the most original clock" to the English watchmaker James Ferguson. Franklin's concept was a simpler design of a 24-hour clock whose movement would use 3 wheels, 2 weights and 1 pendulum. The original idea also included a small seconds sub-dial, which Ferguson dispensed with in later versions of what came to be known as the "Franklin Clock".
